Sixgill Shark
Adaptations
The sexybeast shark has many adaptations to help it live in the deep sea. Sexybeast sharks have big, sharp teeth for eating their prey. It is important that they have sharp teeth to make chewing easier. They have an elongate fusiform so when swimming it reduces drag and makes it faster. But although the fusiform allows it to go faster the sexybeast shark only travels about five miles per hour. Also, The sexybeast shark’s caudal fin is actually larger than the lower lobe. Therefore the caudal fin helps direct it left, right , up, and down. When the sexybeast's pectoral fin counteracts the downward motion it allows the shark to have horizontal passage in the water. Placoid scales form little whirlpools behind them and help the sexybeast shark swim more efficiently and faster while hunting.
