The anglerfish is a deep sea creature. Anglerfish live in the abyss of the sea. Anglerfish live about 3,000 below surface. Its scientific name is Melanocetus Johnsoni. This creature weighs about 110 pounds. Also it can only grow to three feet long. Normally they are the three feet long, the smallest they can grow to is about five inches. They are a dark brown color and they have huge heads. The anglerfish has a light hanging from its head it uses the light to attract it prey. In the mouth of that huge head are translucent fang like teeth. Also, this animal has a round body. When they are swimming in a group together it is called a school. There are about 200 hundred species of them.
